Had a wonderful weekend of family camping. Great, even site with gorgeous views. Children loved paddling in the shallow river. Great showers and toilet block and, even though we didn't need it because the weather was nice, the dining room/day room is a really good idea for British summers! Had a stroll into the town with lots of nice shops and cafes. Owners were so welcoming, relaxed and friendly. We'll be coming back - thank you Maria and co. xx

First of all a huge thank you for looking after a "drow't rat" on my arrival,
Takoda is one of those sites that you tell close friends about and keep it to yourself.
But that would not do justice to the effort and obvious pleasure you both give to others.
Immaculately manicured pitches and spotlesly cleen facilities "a site to behold"
thank you again
Ken

Stayed at Takoda not long ago......................thanks for you hospitality.
Seeing (and hearing) those Macaws, wild and flying free was a bonus. Hope to stay again shortly, but have already made a note of the dates next year of the 'Back to the Boil Rally' (again) and looking forward to the Curry
Lets hope I get to make it this time round.

Cheers, john (ABR-Name:-diver1)

My buddy and I stayed at the Takoda during our coast to coast bike ride, and it was our favourite campsite of the jaunt.
The facilities are really good, especially considering the reasonable fees, and it's a short stroll from town for your evening vittles. The campsite is just the right size and it has a friendly feel; the owners seem to be doing everything right.

And don't worry about the occasional screech from the trees - that's just the local parrots!?!

CAME BY THE SITE PURELY BY CHANCE WHILE RIDING THE MOORS WITH FRIENDS. WHAT A GEM. CLEAN,FRIENDLY & RUN BY FELLOW BIKERS. WILL MOST DEFINATELY BE USING IT AS A BASE FOR FUTURE ROAD TRIPS. CAN ALSO RECCOMEND THE WHITE LION IN TOWN (10MIN WALK)
